Following the publication of "Nine Minds" by Daniel Tammet, I received an interesting email from Daniel informing me that the Wellcome Collection, a free museum and library in central London that bridges science, medicine, life, and art, expressed interest in featuring my narrative from the book. They planned to showcase the story with illustrations by HifuMiyo, a Japanese artist based in France. As requested for the purpose of illustrations, I sent them my profile photo where I'm holding Léa, the smaller of my two schnauzers.

The article was published on August 6, 2024. The illustrations created for the feature were beautiful, characterized by warm colors and a gentle touch. I was especially excited to see a tiny schnauzer accompanying me in one of the images, where I am depicted walking through an Okinawan street. Although the illustration doesn't perfectly mirror my neighborhood or the exact paths where I walk my dogs, Levi and Léa, it beautifully captures the traditional Okinawan atmosphere and culture.

You can also read my whole narrative and the narratives on the other wonderful eight individuals in the “Nine Minds”, available on Amazon.
