I discovered I was autistic at the age of 58 after a diverse career spanning health, social care, criminal justice, learning and development and academic teaching and research roles. I am now a self-employed Autistic Autism researcher, writer, and consultant. My current research interests are autistic people’s experiences of peri/menopause; employment and retirement; sexuality, gender identity, and relationships; ageing; bereavement, death, and dying.
